We first met Christian, founder of Heimat Textil, when he attended one of our mechanics courses. We have watched in admiration as he developed an increasing range of hats and garments woven in Germany. We have stocked their mechanics hat for sometime and love the quality and its great to see that same heavy gauge wool used in these cardigans.

The Eiger cardigan might have been inspired by the first mountaineers to ascend the formidable Eiger Nordwand in the Bernese Alps, but its perfectly suited to sitting by the fire with your feet up. Its knitted in Germany from a high-quality virgin wool, with a generous shawl collar, square patch pockets, and a five-button front. The sleeves and collar are attached by hand, which is more time consuming and labour intensive than using a standard machine stitch but results in a superior finish.
